Argyle Cheese Farmer’s Feta is the cheese that breaks with tradition. Feta is traditionally made with sheep and goats milk. Traditionally it is stored in large vats of a concentrated brine, made with salt, whey and water. Here at Argyle Cheese Farmer we make the cheese with cow’s milk and store it in individually vacumm sealed bags. The process used here on the farm is one developed by a suggestion from our state inspector. The resulting sharp crumby cheese has been well received by our customers at the farmers’ markets and the farm store.

This pasteurized cheese is made with cheese culture imported from Italy. Argyle Cheese Farmers’ mozzarella is not the tasteless and drier cheese found in the dairy case of the supermarket. Our cheese has a nutty flavor with a creamy texture, similar to the mozzarella found in Italy. The cheese can be purchase as a hand pulled balls, mozzarella curd or a jar of marinated mozzarella.
